Motiveringen lyder:
For having shown admirably how different and stimulating the ways of divulging can be. For the persuasive and peaceful beauty of the images which, page after page, interpret and at the same time reveal. For a careful and curious look that addresses the theme from a rich plurality of points of view.
Under våren har boken av Monika Vaicenavičiene även nominerats till Prix Sorcières 2020 och tilldelats två utmärkelser av IBBY Litauen, för Best Non–fiction och Most Beautiful Book of the Year.
Sedan innan boken publicerads, 2018, har Monika Vaicenavičiene blivit uppmärksammad världen över och boken har vunnit en stor mängd priser och utmärkelser. Utöver att stå som vinnare i exempelvis World Illustration Awards och Premio Andersen har den dessutom sålts till 12 olika språkområden.
